Lucas and I got to enjoy the sunrise a couple of days ago. These are the small pleasures that you have to seek when helping your child transition to his new "big boy" bed while also potty training. That and a carmel iced coffee from Dunkin Donuts.

Rides, Rides, and more Rides
This summer has been all about Lucas finding opportunities to ride on any kiddie ride he can. Even after we scared him on the first ride when we went to Knoebel's.
Uncle Todd's riding mower.
Barrel train at the Old Plough Boys. Another barrel train at the Kutztown Carnival sponsored by Kutztown Elementary School.
The boats, cars, and ladybug ride at Knoebel's.
Pony ride at the Kutztown Pennsylvania Dutch Festival. Monster trucks at Dutch Wonderland.
Backyard Adventures
Lucas and Cash having a blast on our Craigslist slide.
Our toad, that helps keep the insect population in check. One member of the rabbit family that lives under the shed.
Cash's First Birthday
We celebrated Cash's first birthday shortly after we moved into our new home, so we decided to host a party. It was great, we had a bunch of family and friends come over to help celebrate.
Everyone had a great time, especially the kids.
Cash's favorite part was the cake, of course.

Corn Everywhere
We live in a house on a farm, surrounded by wheat, soybean, and corn depending on the season. This summer has been really wet. I swear the corn has to be 10' high.
Hopefully this pic illustrates just how tall the corn is.

Our new home in PA
We made the move to PA at the end of March. We took a couple of weeks to clean up Jen's grandfathers house before we moved in.
It's great house with good "bones" but we've done a lot of work to it and still have more to do. But, you can't beat a mile commute to work and the yard is wonderful after living in a condo in Oakland for 6 years.
As you can see we are making the most of all the open space. We are also enjoying our new community. The water table, jeep and sand turtle were acquired from family, friends and neighbors.
The Lau's Blog
I've been thinking for a while now of how to better keep in touch with everyone since our move. I've fallen off Facebook lately, plus not everyone is on "the book". So, I'm going to give blogging a try. I'll do my best to keep this updated as often as possible. I hope you reading it.
Cheers,
Tish
